9g water in boil kettle at 150F
2.5g. strike water at 165F
Mash grains (in steeping bag) at 153F for 30 minutes
Pour mash water into boil kettle water
Sparge grains with water from boil kettle
Water in boil kettle will now be milky in color
Turn back on flame on boil kettle to bring to a boil
Add LME slowly so as not to stick to the bottom, stirring until fully mixed.
Add corn sugar.
Add adjuncts.
Periodically stir the water as it comes up to boil temperature.
Once solution reaches a boil, add 60min hops additions (direct or via mesh bag)
Add hops at 30min into the boil.
At 55min into the boil, add hops with 5min left in boil (60min for this)
At flameout/conclusion of the boil, add whirlpool hops additions. Stir for 30 minutes.
Chill wort to 66-75F and pitch yeast.
Transfer wort to primary fermenter.
Add dry hops additions after beer finishes most of the primary fermentation (7-10days).
