INSTRUCTIONS

Mash in all grain, 60 minutes at 165/168 F for 60 minutes, checked with iodine. Added hops at set intervals with Irish moss and sparkaloid at 20 minutes. Chilled with ice, poured into fermenter, added yeast, small starter, and it took off. Used my genesis fermenter and it was great. This turned out to be a really good, light, lightly hopped, and tasty beer. A very good summer red ale. If I can remember to do so I will brew this again but with a slight adjustment to the hops. The recipe calculated an ibu of 32, this is by taste closer to 20 or less. With this recipe the cascade and galaxy work very well together but I may add a little to increase the hop bitter, but not by much. Og and fg were both close to this recipe with fg being closer to 1.01 Safale s-04 is one of my favorite yeasts, easy and reliable.
